Dr. Oas is the only Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon in central Louisiana, specializing in treating the most traumatic and complex of musculoskeletal injuries and their complications, including infections, nonunions, malunions, and pelvic and acetabular fracture surgery. He performs joint fusion and replacement surgery for severe posttraumatic arthritis and leg lengthening or shortening for limb length differences. Additionally, he also performs hip and knee joint replacement, including Direct Anterior Hip Replacment, and arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip, knee. He offers treatment of Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI, hip impingement) using both open and arthroscopic techniques. He firmly believes in returning his patients at or above their pre-injury level of function and strives to personalize every treatment he recommends for each and every one of his patients. Above all, involving his patients in the decisions that most affect them is paramount to Dr. Oas. He serves as Medical Director of Orthopaedic Trauma for Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.
